Welcome to Northern Huron's Siberian Huskies. This site is for all information related to the Siberian Husky. ~INTRODUCTION~
We are the Petty's, Amy & Keith. We live in New York State near Lake Ontario. Here in our photo albums you'll find our family, our home, our dogs and much more. We also have a great link section and posting sections, so look through and enjoy the site. There is much to read and see. Membership is not required but members can participate on site, if desired.
This site is about Siberians, and the things we do, including shows as well as dog humor and tips. We are a small kennel that started in in the spring of 1994. We began with one Siberian Husky, then about a year later we got another and then two years after that we had our first litter. We started with 10,Today we own four Siberians. In 14+ years we have had only seven litters. We are trying to breed for soundness and type/standard, but it takes years and a lot of hard work.
We are a home based kennel and all our dogs are raised with TLC. So, our kennel is a work in progress and a labor of love.
I started in obedience training my first sibe- Zep and then obedience trials with my first litter pup- Amerak and conformation showing with my White Sibe -Northern KaSukNyeh. My daughter Ashley showed in regular and Jr.classes and just about three years ago my husband went in the show ring for the first time showing our pup bought from Carol Marcy out of her bitch - AngelinaBallerina and Marion Thomas's stud - CH.Topaz Big Red Machine; N.Huron's Mad Max'Machine.They did great for being both first time ring goers.
Max Won- at the "Wine Country Circuit". Won Winners Dog & A Three (3) point Major on Sept. 27, 2003 at Onondaga Kennel Club Assoc. Show at Sampson State Park, in Romulus NY. under Judge; Mr. Joseph E. Gregory. On Sun. at the Kanadasaga Kennel Club Show Max got - Reserve Winners Under Judge; Mr. Merlin J. VanDeKinder. Max has done well in the show ring. He won a "Best of Breed" under Judge - Mr.Norman B. Kenney . See "show photos" for his win photos) Also as of this date Max has produced two AKC champion pups and two others on their way. You can see them as well here on the site. I take great pride in the fact the I trained and showed Max to his championship my self (help from friends).
I belong to the Seneca Siberian Husky Club and was a board member for 2 years and a member for over 7 years. It is a great club with great members and lots of fun and informative gatherings. Any one can come and share the fun. Come check us out and maybe even join !
